I Was Told There'd Be Cake

Aside from the fact that I am in love with this title, (as it so adequately describes my thought process when attending various social functions... Thank you, Mother,) I loved this book. Talk about turning everyday situations into full on hilarity.  I even read some during a genetics review, and got some strange looks when I couldn't help but laugh out loud. haha.

Thank you, new favorite blog, for recommending it.  :)  I just realized that I read this collection of essays in one day.... blast, I left so much homework alone and scared in my backpack unattended as a result.  Curse you, Sloane, and your humorous writing antics!
